    Mr. Courey helps businesses grow, protect their assets, and comply with the law. His practice focuses on corporate law, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, creditors’ rights in bankruptcy, and commercial litigation. He has represented a wide variety of clients, including public and private companies, individual investors and entrepreneurs, startup companies, real estate professionals, and physicians.

    Some of Mr. Courey’s representative matters include the representation of real estate clients in over $175 million of dispositions, acquisitions, and financing of multifamily, retail, office, and other commercial properties, and the representation of corporate clients in over $50 million of stock and asset acquisitions.

    Mr. Courey is admitted to the State Bar of California, the Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the Bar of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

    Mr. Courey is an active member of the Honorable Benjamin Aranda III American Inn of Court. He lives in Palos Verdes with his wife, Thania, and daughter.

    Mr. Courey graduated with a J.D. and Certificate in Business Law from USC Gould School of Law. He graduated with a B.A., magna cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University, where he majored in Classical Civilizations and minored in Ancient Greek.
